Tennessee Shindig, Pigeon Forge Theater

Tenessee Shindig Guests Will See Stars in 2010

Beginning this April, Tennessee Shindig will be dazzling the Smokies with a galaxy of stars. The theater is bringing together America’s top tribute artists and the Smokies’ greatest talent to create two spectacular shows produced by legendary Las Vegas producer Johnny Stuart. No stranger to the world of tribute acts, Stuart founded the famed Legends in Concert theaters that are now all over the country.

“We’re so excited about this year’s talent,” says owner Jess Davis. “Johnny has at least a half-dozen successful shows in Vegas right now. If there’s anybody that knows talent and knows how to sculpt it into a good show, it’s this guy.”

The theater will be showcasing two new shows each night. “Stars on Stage” will begin at 5 p.m. every evening and feature your favorite music from country, the ‘60s, Motown and, of course, Elvis.

“I think we’ve gotten a reputation for bringing in excellent Elvis tribute artists,” says Davis. “This year, we’ve outdone ourselves. We will have about eight different Elvis artists all throughout the year, including Shawn Klush, who is recognized as the current number one Elvis impersonator in the entire world. Needless to say, we’re very excited about bringing all of this internationally acclaimed talent to Pigeon Forge.”

“Greatest Legends” will begin at 8 p.m. each night and will feature even more tributes to stars like the Beatles, Elvis, Michael Jackson and even President Obama. Pete Peterkin, best known as a finalist on NBC’s America’s Got Talent for his President Obama impression, will be headlining along with his many other characters such as Michael Jackson, Ray Charles and Little Richard. The band Revolver will be offering a brilliant tribute to the Beatles, and, of course, there will be even more Elvis.

The star-studded lineup permeates the whole production, right down to the dancers, some of whom are coming from Las Vegas.

“The dancing talent will also be like nothing we’ve ever seen here before,” Davis says. “We have nationally renowned choreography Mick Thompson creating the sequences, along with some Vegas dancers and even a young lady who danced in the film Dreamgirls.

These will definitely be two shows you won’t want to miss while in Pigeon Forge. There will be a combo option available as well. Each show is only $29.95, but if you book both shows, you can choose either a $10 off discount OR you can get a FREE dinner Buffet next door at the Wood Grill Buffet.
